Choice Poem by Julius Victorio

Choice

Everything has a choice
We have the choice to open a window, and to close it
We have the choice to read up your books and we know it
We're never forced, this doesn't really need to be discoursed
And of course I'm stating the obvious
But we are oblivious
To the danger that always lurks around us...

Right now I have to make a choice
Between one or the other
Be a man or a father
Leave and start anew
Or get ready for disaster

I feel forced and pressured
To an extent that can't be measured
And I think right now, that I need be taught a lesson
Cos' I've been a bad boy
A bad guy
And I feel the guilt surging through my veins to my eyes
I don't wanna see
I wanna go blind
So I don't need to see the choices that I will need to make
And so that I can rely on my guide
Jesus Christ

We have free will...
