Choices And Free Will Poem by Kimberly Lindsey

Choices And Free Will

Rating: 5.0

We sin and sin and sin some more.
What will it take to make us, shut that door?
God has told us what He wants us to do,
We choose not to listen, on purpose or not.
What does that matter we choose or we choose not.
Even that is a choice, for making no choice is a choice in itself.
And God gives us a choice, it is called free will.
He lets us choose, the path we will travel,
Which chooses our fates, unless we unravel,
The choice that is right, the choice that is true,
And if you ask, He will even help you.
So, think it through, before you act, a choice is a choice,
You are the point of contact.
Choose to sin, or choose to follow God’s law,
Choices and sinning, is up to us all.
As for me, I try, I really do, but I fall far from the mark,
I am human too.
I get angry and give in, to the need to vent,
And when I do, the language, oh I get bent!
And when I get hurt, I clam up like none other,
Communication goes south, and hibernates like it’s winter.
Eventually I see, the error of my ways, and ask for forgiveness,
Sometimes for days.
But that is the point, God wants us to know, we are sinners all,
And loved anyway, God sent His Son, for all to be saved.
All He wants is our love, and for us to have faith.
To believe and ask for forgiveness, for His saving Grace.
