Choking The Life Out’a Me



Choking the life out’a me
taking the breath away
little-by-little
snuffed out like a cigarette
smoked too long
the filter— smoldering

Bluish—gray pale sticky smoke
fills my nose
putrid aromas

dangle
love like a bone
in hopes that I will
nibble—
