Chomp Poem by Patrick Tincher

Chomp

If I were a vampire
You a day lily
Would be my bride
Tracing the veins of your stem with my ice cold hands
Finding the right place take a bite
Saliva oozing in my mouth
Anticipating
Fangs sinking into your paper thin stalk
Venom coursing through your stream of life
This poison
The cause of all my emptiness this loneliness
Making your beautiful frame mine forever
