Choose Poem by Jenna Dandurand

Choose

Make a doll
of the scruffiest cloth.
Make it with holes
in its heart
and mind.
Stick a needle
where you want.
Let the anger flow.
Make a doll
of the toughest leather.
Make it with toughness
in its heart
and mind.
Try to hurt it.
Those dolls you made
represent someone.
Someone else just made a doll
of you.
Which one are you?
Will you be weak
and broken?
Or will you be strong
and whole?
It's all up to you.
Choose.
