Christmas Cheers Poem by Dinyar Bharucha

Christmas Cheers

CHRISTMAS CHEERS
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone near.
A little gift from one held dear,
Best wishes for the coming year.

The best gift around the Christmas tree,
Seeing family friends dancing with glee.
A happy family wrapped in each other,
Uncles, aunts, sister, father and mother.

May spirit of Christmas bring you peace,
May worries, sorrows always decrease.
May gladness of Christmas give you hope,
May God give courage to fight and cope.

May warmth of Christmas grant you love,
May God bless you from heaven above.
Christmas is the season of freely giving,
Without a single thought of any receiving.

Christmas is the season of giving gifts,
To one and all, you give a mighty uplift.
To your enemies you give forgiveness,
To your elders you show love, fondness.

I would love to say a wonderful little prayer,
May God give you blessings one after another.
Jesus Christ the only savior and our Lord,
Invite Him into your heart, the Son of God.
