Everyone has heard the story
The Christmas story and what its about
Jesus being born in Bethlehem

But thousand years later
Controversy about it
Whether to say Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays

It should be about God sending his one and only
To a virgin girl
So young but knew God had something great in store

Didn't know that her baby boy was going to die on the cross
Die for everybody's sin
We take it for granted each and everyday

It shouldn't be about gifts
It should be about our greatest gift that we received
Even though we wasn't there

God knew we were going to be born
He knew we are all sinful
Thats why he sacrificed his son for us

His perfect sinless son to be crucified
That should be the greatest gift
He is the reason why we are here

It shouldn't be about celebrating Christ's birth once a year
It should be about celebrating God's love everyday of our life
Christ is in Christmas but we act like Christ is a bad name

God so loved the world he gave is one and only begotten son
We all know the verse John 3: 16 but how many times do we take that at heart
Take it to heart and spread God's love for us and what he has in store above
