Christmas Hope Poem by alicia cross

Christmas Hope

We reflect on our lives throughout this year;
Yet sometimes we find it hard to find the Christmas cheer.
Keep your spirit up, even if there's no glistening snow;
You might have been on the naughty list but one day you'll get a halo.

Grab your sweetheart and find a hanging mistletoe;
Give them a soft kiss, but wrap it with a bow.

I've been through this experience a few times before;
Only I've never had him affect me so much to the core.

Swallow your pride and sing with hope;
No matter what, I'll be there to help you cope.
Leading with my red nose, we'll get through this for;
We'll look back on these times drinking Eggnog.

Give before you receive and don't be a heathen;
Just remember, Jesus is the reason for the season.
