Christmas Thoughts!

May your Christmas be joyous and festive,
With baubles decking your tree,
May you find time, if it's no trouble,
To say a little prayer for me!

I've tried to be good, and stand upright,
I've tried to be kind through the year... but..
My failings, have come to the fore now - and
I fear, as Christmas draws near.....

Santa has seen my behavior,
For sure, he has not been impressed: -(
He doesn't like the way I've got lazy - and
Sometimes it's 'noon' before I'm dressed.

Alas, all will sure be forgiven,
As I flop on my knees, in prayer,
The truth is, I'm sloshed, and fell over,
Though, no-one knows, and I don't really care!

So if YOUR Christmas proves not to be joyous - and
YOUR baubles, have fell off your tree,
Remember you are not alone friends,
I'll say a little prayer for THEE...! : -o

poet Emily Jane Brontë

I am the only being whose doom
No tongue would ask no eye would mourn
I never caused a thought of gloom
A smile of joy since I was born

In secret pleasure - secret tears
