Christmas Tree Poem by David Darbyshire

Christmas Tree

Rating: 5.0

Oh Christmas tree we put you up,
with lots of sparkle, and loven dust.
You stand so tall, we feel so small,
that the gifts will come in you we trust.

The children have been jolly and so good,
and done their chores like they should.
The long socks are full and so is the list,
parents up til 3, to check nothing is missed.

Woke to the sound of happiness, at 4 in the morning,
kids excited running, jumping, laughing and smiling..
Now tearing the wrapping off, to get to their new toy,
Oh 'Christmas tree' thank you, you bring such joy.
