Christmas Ufo Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Whilst driving home this Christmas Night,
I looked at the sky, and got a fright.
A star, planet, or UFO there,
Shone out on Earth ~ should I care?

What was this sphere doing here,
Spying on Earth ~ should I fear?
Or was it just an innocent star,
Lighting a path, near or far?

Was it there placed, by a Superior Force?
To foretell some deed, of course,
That was to happen to us soon,
Shortly, before the New Moon.

Like long ago when a Star foretold,
Future events on a Night of Old.
Or was my imagination taking hold?
Why did its eerie sound make my body cold?

Was this a UFO in the air,
Or just a helicopter hovering there?
Perhaps a planet very bright,
Shining in the moonlit night.
