Christmas Without You Poem by Jenny Barton

Christmas Without You

First Christmas without you dad,
The family is still so sad,
Still loved and in our hearts you remain
Life has just not been the same
Normal days pass by without you,
How sad it is but its what we have to do.
Presents underneath the tree
My kids will open them with glee
Every knew memory made, a flicker of you remains
They say time is a healer, I hope it's true
Because the pain is tough, no longer having you.
Through the children's fun and laughter
I'll make sure they live to have a
Happy ever after.

Rest in peace dad.
