Cinderella - Poem by Sandra Martyres

It’s Midnight my love
Its time for me to disappear
And leave behind my
Golden slipper
For you to find
Making sure that
There will be another
Evening of pure delight

Don’t stop me my love
It’s a written rule from above
That your Cinderella
Must leave no matter what
At midnight on the dot
For if she does not
Yours will not
Be a happy lot

Please turn around my love
Cast a glance at the
Beauty that abounds
In this lovely gathering
Of dolled up ladies waiting
To play the game of mating
While you do that
Like lightening
I will be gone
For now
but I promise
I will come back again

Quite delightful, I was brought up on Pantomine and Fairy Stories, they still trigger the imagination from time to time. Cinderella's was confident to allow her prince the pick of all the ladies. But in life to we should be able to choose. (Report) Reply

This is the most lovely poem
    Very gracious in the plea
    Touched deep within to rejoice.

Love, a miracle of all time
From the past till date and in future
    The aroma, so strong
And sure all have to turn to it.
Cinderella - the poem, i love you.

Enjoyed to the brim. (Report) Reply

This is a adorable and even slightly sensuous poem about Cinderella, Sandra, and I didn't realize that she was quite a flirt! My, My what would the Disney folks say if they knew she was inviting princes and such to her boudoir after midnight! You made this tale a very charming and witty write, as well as an enjoyable one! Carl. (Report) Reply
