Circle… Poem by Sarder Tawhid Imam

Circle…

Fifty years in the ocean of greed,
I slept like a prey in hiding.
The hunter lurked about in shadows,
to pierce a bright arrow into my heartbeat.

In a pulse, I fall down helpless,
on the lap of moist green.
Breaking water pearls into a rainbow,
am I blessed or am I cursed to be?

again came the awakening moment,
and I followed, as if bound by Air.
Soon glowed a passage of light so known,
and I followed, as if it were the only way.

White curtains flowing, there is no breeze,
Is this judgement, are all at standstill?
But here i can move about, here I can think,
How could this have come, before I was on my feet?

Now stand alone on the Land with only two questions,
Why truth was proven wrong? and how did reason dare?
I cried my answer in tears, Knees over my head,
Circles have no beginning, nowhere do they end.

Came the laughter loud and clear, chills down my spine,
jumped up from the bed sweating, it was a dream of fright! ! !
Once again the sun came along, and i greed even more,
nights will bring dreams again, my circle still rolls…
