Circling The Drain Poem by Ezra Rizle

Circling The Drain

No joy, no dreaming too
Only darkness you can't outdo
You believe in the other side
But it only knows how to hide
I wouldn't trust a single word
When the meaning is so absurd
Circling the drain
And again, and again

Along the deep sleeping streets
Pass by the weird looking thieves
Under the cloudy night sky
With tiny feet on the fly
Try and keep an open mind
'Cause life you can't rewind
Circling the drain
And again, and again

A thousand times over you think
And only then you mark it with ink
When you're born, you're free
But then you start to dream
And life boils down to this
What you see, and all that you miss
Circling the drain
And again, and again
