Clasped Hands Poem by Alison Mary Dunn

Clasped Hands

Rating: 5.0

We clasp our hands
to close the gap in our divide
To feel the Negative of

Disconnected

We share together silence
To hear the tears of suffering

praying

on it’s knees

with clasped hands

around the world

In yoga we call it Namaskar 'I bow to you'. This act of greeting in humility and grace is beautifully expressed in this fine poem which says so much more than it's meagre ten lines. I agree with Sandra - this is definitely one of your best. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Stunning use of metaphor and imagery. One can indeed hold hands across continents and never realize the distance. One of your very best.10/10. Love, Sandra
