Closed Mind Poem by 7Shadows Teed

You shut you mind off to what you do not want to believe.
You close your mind for reasons only you know.
You refuse to see what you don't want,
Just like the rest of the world.

You won't open your mind to what I try to bring to your attention.
We might have once been enemies,
But I tried to change it and help you,
But you pushed me away.

You believe what you want and not the truth.
Is that what the world does?
So are you telling me you are going to be like everyone else?

Being like everyone else is no fun.
It makes you shallow and someone you are not,
Unless you really are like that.

You shut out what you don't want to believe.
You will live to regret that one day though.
Can you not handle the truth,
Or do you just refuse to see it cause it’s not what you want?
