Clouds That Cover The Sun Poem by Autumn Winds

Clouds That Cover The Sun

Clouds that cover the sun
A dark shadow over passing
An extinguished light
Gone from view

As days fade away
A sleeping world awakens
To the silver tinged beauty of
A silent summer night

Dreams come and go
Hidden messages in the sand
Across the dark of midnight
A shooting star moves

Bring lovers eyes with it
Encompassing and alluring
A kindled flame of childish hope
Burns bright and true

Destiny unfolded, untold
A book with no words
Black ink spattered and scattered
Across a wide spread world

Death of the beautiful and innocent
No fuel to feed the fire
Burning it self and destroying
Every thing else in the end
