Treasure Island

Steven Harris

Club 101.

This is just a normal place
people occupy this place to
experience reality
get away from the false illusions
of the so called real world
that sits outside that door
this place is for whiskey
drinkers
ale men
and wine women
a place to sit and regroup
and understand what life is all
about
there are people in here who live a
bohemian lifestyle
who might walk home alone
with a blow up doll called
Sally
all kinds of people
liars, cheaters
gamblers and slappers
club 101 is real
full of life
full of people
full of people like you
and me.

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

When the hours of Day are numbered,
And the voices of the Night
Wake the better soul, that slumbered,
