Coccaine Poem by Nandipha Mphanya

Coccaine

I'm a deliberate cocaine
In your memory I'd forever be set...
My burning desire for a million appeals...
I feed on live on intimacy...
My nude shades never get redundant...
Blockage from these brain cells of mine as I feed more and more on attention...
Glances dat enrich me...
Traces of finger all over my body..
Fully, fingered and lipped as I drift of on the effect it sets on the human mind...
A lasting memory, willfully without, parade like parachutes when they fly off to the blue skies...
Why do I need my brains for when my flesh gets me flashy, smash and weary
I lie and feel the wetness as we the dance arithmetic sheet dance to a lover's song...
I hide in denial cause I'm afraid of what my brain cells can conquer...
I feel like a glass of wine.....
