Cold Beer In The Desert Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Cold Beer In The Desert

Famines, floods and earthquakes! !
Like 'Marcus Amelius Antonius' who was a philosopher and a stoic;
But eliminating political rivals is what you know,
And like the beast who is now set on the thrown to rule.

An autocrat,
To be sold as slaves;
In the period of military anarchy! !
But i need a cold beer in the desert to cool down my thirst.

We are all in this boat together,
But you are now fading away from the pages of history;
However i will be very strng and brave to lead the course,
For Rome was not built in a day.
