Cold Sweet Peaches Poem by Juan Olivarez

Cold Sweet Peaches

Rating: 5.0

Cold sweet peaches from a can,
On an August summer day.
And a little old electric fan,
Wishing we were still in May.

Well at least my throat is cool,
And my stomach follows suit.
Think I'll walk down to the pool,
I've had enough of this canned fruit.

Cold sweet peaches from a can,
Best remedy for summer's heat.
Forget the little old electric fan,
Cold sweet peaches what a treat.
