Not one word spoken
to try and over reach the sound
so im not the body found.

i would like to have been left for dead
his final words kill me
lying in my own bed.

'im not in love with you anymore'
now he turns his back
and i see him walk out the door

this is what he wanted
to see me end like this
to see my hands tremble
and then uncurl my fist

collapsing,
relapsing,
loosen on my grasping
i finally let you go.
