Colm Cille Poem by Liam ó Comáin

Colm Cille

thoughts relate
to a currach
carrying a prince
into exile

a moist eye
looked back

a monk
to be known
wherever
belief took root

yet yearning
for oak groves
and little hills

a punishment
still bearing fruit
