Colors War Poem by Vivienne Chen

Colors War

Rating: 5.0

The colors of the spectrum
All in disarray
Hatred spurned from ignorance
Fuel this endless fray.

White quarrels with black
Segregated by the brawl
For white encompasses everything
Leaving black with none at all.

In green there is no giving
Philanthropy is fiction
For who would want to help a world
Where brown fears of eviction?

But when they all band together
Across the sky so bright
They are considered queer, a disease
A disgrace to visible light.

The spectrum melts to chaos
As all these colors fight
For there can be no peace, no love
In the battle of refracted light.

Interesting write, though I find the Rainbow the most harmonious display of color. Thanks.
