Combustion Poem by francesca zumbo

Combustion

Life is spontaneously happening
A constant flowing of minds materialism
Streaming naturalism
Into our unconscious hearts
We accept what we cannot see,
Some not so effortlessly
But we come together as one, you and me

In you I see my life’s eternity
My fate walking immortality
Right and left awareness, holding hands in the night
Connected was our electricity
Keeping us together in our moment of ecstasy
I see your life in me
We speak with skeptic minds and innocent art

I understand my destiny
With mortality surfing on the horizon on the sea
We will be free
With music in our company
Heightening me to a transcendent sky
That ends no where, infinite lies abyss
Open to me, release in me, pouring in and folding all around me
So gracefully, is the wonder of your eyes

Stories a thousand years told, of love and life and divinity
A wondrous kingdom your soul was
Beauty enticing me, luring me along like gold
Dark and light, yin and yang
With death facing me, my place is to live metaphorically
Soaking myself mercifully
I will live this life purely, happy

With my hands to carve a rebirth
With my spirit to engage in the rhythm
Becoming translucent
We are connected by waves,
Remember that tomorrow when you wake
My energy to accompany you
I feel you as we were
As one,
As we will be.
