Come Closer To Me Poem by Marie J. Christopher

Come Closer To Me

I am the Soul of your soul
The supreme God to be extolled of your every moment
Like being shy, I prefer to be hidden to be discovered as exquisite fragrance
Affronted by fear to appear as forcing upon you
Free will I had created for you,
To love or not to love
Wish not to belaboured and how great my joy will be
If your free will turns into the flowery fountain or roaring ocean of loving
Deepening our most intimate friendship
Come to me even at times I went in hiding or times full of hardships
For the scripts of love to be beautifully written
Then I shower you more gifts for you feeling abandoned
Feeble in nature, you should be strong in faith
Spirit of faith will assist your sight
To see things in God’s eyes, to adore or to discard
Unmarred, even with multiple scars, you're marching forward
Diehard, elans of faith shall come for you as plentiful rewards
Through our Communion entering the interior walls of your soul
Full of faith and hope, love will grow abundantly
While you come closer to me.

Describing the invitation from God to my bewildered soul before I accepted Him as my God.
