Come Home Poem by Megan Russell

Come Home

Rating: 3.8

Come and rise toward the sun with me,
and sit in my arms next to our moon,
come back home to me and
sit within my breast close to my heart.
As you lay alongside my heart,
dream with me,
dream about what could have been,
dream about our once upon a time.
I'll be yours and you'll be mine
while we nestle ourselves in between the mountains
where we shall be blanketed
with the snow white hope
for our continuing days together.

Regret for what might have been seems to me a uniquely human sentiment and one well-voiced here. MM
