Comfortably Numb Poem by Amelia Cromwell

Comfortably Numb

Apathy and Angst
set in against my will.
Change my life
with a handful of pills.

I will become
Comfortably Numb.

No more pain
from my wretched life.
No more madness.
Nor anger.
Nor strife.

Medicate me, Doctor!
I need my fix.
Zombie-fy me.
Quick! Before I glitch.

Comfortably Numb.
Numb from love.
Numb from hate.
Numb from myself.

I'll do whatever it takes.

Comfortably Numb,
THAT is what I will become.
