Commercial Judas Poem by Bill Grace

Commercial Judas

The picture in the ad lures me in
A thirteen mile drive it is a sin
To learn the picture is a lie
A truth I learn only when I spy
An item that is a quest.

I do not mind the puffer’s art
But still it gives my soul a start
To learn the desire of my eyes
Is not to be fulfilled.

I don’t expect too much today
Am grateful for a pleasant stay
Still I wonder at some of the commercial arts
Whose lack of ethics stink like a fart.
