Communion Poem by Kathryn King

Communion

As we gather round tonight to feast at Jesus table
Let us eat His body bread and drink His blood of wine.
Jesus you've paid the price for us,
Forgive our selfish ways.
Teach us now Your way of love.
Sanctify our hearts.

As we near the closing hour, be sanctified before Him
As you lift your glasses high
With all humbleness and praise
Give glory to the King of Kings
Your Kingdom lasts forever,
Help us all to give you thanks
For that sacrifice You made.

Let us call You Holy
Let us call you Lord.
Father forgive us
Cleanse our hearts once more.

Let Your Word embrace us
May it light our path.
That we follow Your way
Knowing Your Word lasts.
