Companies Poem by Alyssa Diane

Companies

Ring! Ring! The phone goes.
The clock strikes nine.
The business begins and forgoes.
The time begins to fly.

Tick Tock! The clock will tick.
The phone rings off the hook.
“I found the paper full of nothing but the name Rick! ”
As her kids read Barney books in the purple nook.

Vroom! Vroom! The cars whir by!
The kids see a mustang!
The time is definitely beginning to fly.
As they eat lunch, mustard with a tang.

Ring! Ring! The bell rings,
As kids fill the halls,
The sound of blankness fills the wings,
As kids screams begin to file against the walls.

The kids get on the bus,
Some get in the car,
All screaming with excitement, no fuss,
As they dream to go near and far.

Mother’s workday is over,
As is the school year,
The kids begin to hover,
As the end of day grows near.
