Compassion - Poem by Paola Degli Esposti

I keep attention at the watch,
i was nervous a lot.
Just taking my time
for a few thoughts afterwards.
I cannot get back,
I want to go on,
though
I am too much out of date.
what I need now
is to believe
again.
compassion of the world,
compassion of myself.
How can I have forgotten
through the years the
basic rules?
I keep attention at the watch,
I am eternally late.
Still it takes the rythm of my life.
Compassion.
Compassion turns the world around.
