Competing Agendas Poem by Jeffrey Hatcher

Competing Agendas

Gemini colonies,
Contradicting Newton,
Removing peasant self-determination
To heights of status
Intolerating modest aspirations
For this life.

Occluding fantasy perspectives of still others
More intolerant of modest aspirations.
Not surmounting skies,
Yet asserting fiscal presence.
Taking modest leave of physics.
Contradict no more!
