Concomitance Poem by Jayatissa K. Liyanage

Concomitance

Flicker flame kisses the wick
Igniting to a growing nimbus
Rises brighter, calm and quite
To a shining and glistening subject

Vagrant breeze watches insatiably
Breathe getting faster, excitedly
Ecstasy overrunning morals
Created little bit of turbulence

Flame danced and flickered, to react
Breeze overwhelmed, being excited
Couldn't hold up for too long
Impetuously, carried the flame away

Afar unknown and nonchalant may be!
Wick stays reticent and unmoved, though
Concomitantly, as they seem, yet
causes and effects they all were
