Condemned Poem by Mandy MMR

Condemned

Scornful words tossed to and fro
Her arm in hand
They won't let go

'Stone her! ' they shout into the streets
'What hath she done? '
An elder speaks

'She was found abed with a man not her own/'
'If you have not sinned,
Throw the first stone.'

The man bent down and wrote in the dirt
One by one
The men dispersed

'where are those who have accused?
Has no one condemned you? '
'No one, Lord, ' said the woman confused

'Go now and forever soar
For neither do I condemn you
And make sure to sin no more.'
