Confessions Of A Sinner Poem by Frank Caldone

Confessions Of A Sinner

Lord
I know all I've ever done is sin
And lived in darkness for so long
I turned you away
I accepted the darkness that engulfed me
I've grown cold
Gave my soul away
Found it easier to hate then to love
To turn a deaf ear to my troubles
Instead of turning to the light for guidance
I've walked though the darkness to find an easy way out
I do not come to you for forgiveness
To get out of the pacts I've made with the creatures of darkness
I willingly gave them my soul
I do not come to you to reclaim my soul
I come on bent knee to apologize for all my wrongs
I've finally found my place in the light
And to tell you Lord
I stand by you in all your might and glory
Until the demons claim what is theirs
Till that day comes
I am yours to command, Lord
Amen
