Confessions Of Distant Collaborations Poem by Scottie Bonstone

Confessions Of Distant Collaborations

You think you can see right through me
But your actions are not what you can achieve
For satisfactory

You seem blind in the mirror
Making the picture a little bit clearer
Scattering mixed emotions across my brain
Frustrating over my only notion
I have to get this venom outta my veins

Anxiety breeds lingering addictions
Creating a story more or less fiction
Extracting this ungodly soul
Is gonna take my hatred for a tumbling toll

My endorphins are taking a turn for the worst
This hour for magic has left me cursed
Voices thunder from every direction
I have nothing left but this final confession

Infinite hues shower your mind
Exposing our true intentions
Erecting the perfect prevention
To release your control

Rebuilding my levee is the last task
To unbound this horrified mask

You thought you knew me through and through
You know nothing
Not even a clue

Analyze this collaboration
That has come to be
Your annihilation
Was not achieved

I can hear it callin' me in the distance
My departure has come this final instance
You've underestimated my intelligence
Striping every inch of your elegance

Return to where you came
I will make a final proclaim
To exile you from existence
For eternity
And beyond that too

To the banishment from space and time
I can finally draw the line
To release my soul into the sky
For a moment alone
