Conflict Of The Silvery Dreams Poem by Asma Khan

Conflict Of The Silvery Dreams

When did I tell you love is sweet
mistook it not for being a treat
though it's worth the challenge
which is indeed hard to beat

Who said dreams come true
what's left all birds of fortune flew
wrecked hopes with broken wings
and heartless stories you never knew

Where are the wanderers of wrinkled dreams
rowing their boats of hopes in waterless streams
getting together would be a challenge, but
one may not hear when the heart screams

Why do clouds gather, roar and cry
silently cover me with a sheet of dark sky
pinching rains and thunders over my eyes
kissing the tears till they are dead and dry

What could define the end of this misery
a dawn with dust of an unseen future wrapped in silvery
hail to the heart that never feels or grows
an ultimate defeat of mine and your victory

A conflict sometimes brings back the time you had lived in long ago.
COMMENTS OF THE POEM

It was a delightful read. However, couplets looked just broken in between, with temporary loss of rhythm. Takimg form of a blue poem. nonetheless, very finely written poetry. :) Please pardon my pointing, I am also a poet in training. :)
