Confusion On The Estate Poem by James Urwin

Confusion On The Estate

Rating: 4.5

Confusion on The Estate.

Fathers day on The Estate.

With awkward questions... on this date.
tension rises, at a fast rate.

In the shops...few cards are sold,
In many homes... even fewer kids told.

Confusion rains on the faces of all,
with little Johnny whose ever so small,
who has a younger brother.. whose ever so tall,
'Who are the Fathers', they all call.
with Ginger Gill and Blond haired Lill,
suntanned Sam and Afro Bill.

Mum don't know what to say,
'it could av bin Barry, lenny, Gary or even Sanjay.'
She thinks for a while..
then she says...with a big smile,
'kids put the kettle on..I'm gonna watch Jeremy Kyle.'
