Consider The Wind Poem by moon batchelder

Consider The Wind

Rating: 5.0

consider the wind;
it's soft caress,
the subtle scents it wears...
consider the lulls
between the gusts,
the many gifts it bears...
consider the clouds
it brings, the smell of winter
in the air...
consider the gales
through the storm as it wails
it's passion. consider, - compare.

compare this to love,
it's raging touch,
it's gentleness; a breeze.
compare wind to love
when it's totally still;
a silence in the trees.
consider that both these
invisible forces
are born of the gods' decrees.
consider that either one
caught in a bottle,
suddenly ceases to be.
