Considering Verlaine - Poem by Eugene Levich

Verlaine thought
That a woman and a cat
Both had claws of steel,
Were these metaphoric,
Or were they real?

Play with a cat,
You may get scratched.
Play with a woman,
And see what happens...

That’s the deal!

there is something intriguing and dangerous
    about the pussycat attraction!
at any age I hope! (Report) Reply

and with none of either, Eugene, do you know when it will happen when you play with them in the dark (Report) Reply
