Conversations In The Mind On A Long Bus Journey Poem by Sapphire Gordon

Conversations In The Mind On A Long Bus Journey

Do it. Do it now.

No. For the last time. Get out of my head.

I'm here as long as you're here, I am you.

Erm, no, your not, you're a stupid voice in my head.

I think you'll find the right word for me is your conscience.

Well I don't need my conscience, you can go now.

I don't want to go, I am fine right here.

Oh just leave me alone!

But do it, press it now.

No! Not here. Here is wrong.

Press it! Press it!

Arghh, please, leave me alone! You always pop-up in the most annoying situations.

Too right.

Fine. Look. I pressed it. Now can you go?

...

Yes! You're gone!

...

Aw, I miss the voice in my head.

...

Only joking! Ha, I got rid of you. I told you I could beat you!

Peek-a-boo, I'm only hiding!

Damn it.

May I point out that any place where the thought is 'you are' requires a contraction. 'Your' is possessive. -you are here; you are not; you are a stupid- should read-you're here; you're not; you're a stupid- This is a common mistake that you will often find on this site. Now that I have pointed it out to you, you will start seeing it everywhere. Keep writing and have fun. Adeline
