Cootie Catcher Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Cootie Catcher

For those of you who can entangle…
Fold a precise square of paper
Corner to corner into four triangles
Side to side…creating an amusing caper

Forming four finger cups for action
Added numbers and colors interchange
Sections alternate within each faction
A finale is told from a selected range

With inventiveness and patience
Anyone can indulge in this pastime
It takes you and an acquaintance
To turn chance of choice into ShowTime
