Coping Poem by susette varga

Coping

Coping mechanisms all in place
Avoiding old haunts
Like the plague

Places that we used to go
Off the radar
A big no go

Our first meeting
Our first kiss
Intoxication
No longer exists

Blocking memories
Such happy times
Dreamland highspirits
No longer mine

Making different
Weekend routines
Deliberately ceasing
To think of them

Trying to banish
From my thoughts
Failing miserably
I'm a lost cause

KEEP ON TRYING! reach out to those willing to help. as they say: It ain't over till the fat lady sings.! one Google selection says It means that one should not presume to know the outcome of an event which is still in progress. .............ice cream may help. you may also end up BEING the singer if you overdo it. to MyPoemList bri ;)
