Cops And Robbers Poem by Donal Mahoney

Cops And Robbers

Climbing up the dirt hill out
behind the house they’re putting up
in Krupka’s lot, Tom found two pellets

in the iris changed things more
than doctors at the time forecast.
Today Tom blinks a lot

and fears big crows
may swoop at any time
and supper on the other eye.
