Correction - A Necessary Step. Poem by Jacson Gelato

I hit a stone
and you asked me
if I did so,
I replied yes.
I gave a slap
and you asked me
if I did so,
I replied yes.
I shouted at you
and you asked me,
if I did so,
and I replied yes.
At last you asked me:
'Why I did all this to you? '
I replied:
It was because
you were wrong.
And when you told me
I did not succeed
in correcting you,
I offered you my head,
to throw a stone on it,
I offered you my cheek,
to slap me back...
and in silence
I would take it all
if only this action
could make you realize
how wrong you were.
