Could Poem by Amanda May Moore

Could

Could
Why me?
Said she.
Well if she,
Asked me
I’d say
One day
She should see
How life could be.
Then she wouldn’t frown,
With her head at the ground.
No, she’d open her eyes,
Up high to the skies.
She would,
If she could,
Find a way,
For her to say,
She’s sorry for living her life so selfishly,
While others starve and live so helplessly.
Then she would realize,
To not live to a sad demise,
She would,
And could,
Help those in need,
Instead of living in greed.
