Cowardice Poem by emily summers

Cowardice

You see a perfect family,
the hidden agenda never shows,
but inside that family,
the evil ever grows,
daddy wants an ego boost,
so inside the kiddies room he goes,
all the poor child done was spill some juice,
and daddy breaks his bones,
evil weaves through this,
but i see something else- cowardice,
would you see him punch a man?
i think not,
i don't think he can,
so what does he do instead?
he goes to the childs room when they're all in bed,
and starts making threats,
beats him over the head,
until he is cold dead,
he shows no mercy,
no human qualities,
at least the boy is free,
free from misery,
thats what some guys would say,
but i say no way,
the boy deserves to live today,
not get his life snatched away,
all because of this,
undoubtedly cowardice.
