A delightful tale! I can see it so clearly as a child's story illustrated with coyotes under the moon. Excellent! (Report) Reply

    They learned to appreciate
    More things in life
    Than a brilliant moon
That would just cause them strife.
A beautiful poem, inspirational and educative with it's moral imbibed in the above stanza. Heartiest congratulations for the Poem of the Day.

Very well done. By far the best of the three poems of the day today. I agree with Barry Middleton. It's too bad the people of the world can't learn to get along like your coyotes did. (Report) Reply

Thank you, Kim! I really appreciate it, and I'm so glad you enjoyed reading it! I can't believe this poem was chosen as the poem of the day today. I feel so utterly undeserving, but I really appreciate all the love and feedback from everyone! I'd recommend reading my other poems! I just posted some new stuff recently:

    So together they sat
    Those brothers of three
    Under an Oak Tree
Bonded and free /.... excellent poem with a superb message. Thanks for sharing. Congrats for being selected for the Day.

Drawn to the light of your poem..I write often of my love for the moon's lure. I believe it helps me to remember to always look UP! And on a lighter note...My nickname IS Coyote Sue. PEACE to You, under the beautiful moon. (Report) Reply

Another fantastic poem. Though I do love the moon,
you are so correct about the strife it brings. You write
    many good poems.
